About Sarah
I’m Sarah, an experienced English teacher specialising in academic and professional English. I hold an MA in English Literature and a Trinity College London Licentiate Diploma in TESOL (level 7).
I have taught English for many years in several countries and international educational settings. Since 2004, I have run my own independent tutoring practice, working with learners from a wide range of countries and backgrounds.
My teaching includes GCSE, IGCSE and A-level English Language and Literature, IELTS academic and General Training, OET for healthcare professionals and TOLES Legal English. Worth English Studio is a Registered TOLES Exam Centre.
.I combine clear explanations and careful preparation with high expectations and a calm, supportive approach. Lessons are planned around each learner’s existing knowledge, objectives and particular communication needs.
Worth English grew from a simple belief: serious English teaching should be rigorous, personal and encouraging at the same time.

Qualifications and Professional Experience
My English-teaching qualifications include a Trinity College London Licentiate Diploma in TESOL (LTCL DipTESOL), a Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL (CertTESOL, Grade A), and a Postgraduate Certificate in TESOL from the Open University.
I also hold an MA in Literature from the Open University; a BA (Hons), 2:1, in Oriental Studies (Arabic and Persian) from the University of Manchester; and a BA (Hons), 2:1, in French and Spanish with Creative Writing from the Open University.
My further professional training includes PTLLS Level 4 in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, a Certificate in Teaching English Online from the University of Cambridge, and a British Council Certificate in Language Assessment in the Classroom.
My wider qualifications include the Financial Planning certificate including all the three levels then awarded, and a VTCT Level 3 in Anatomy and Physiology which underpins my professional training and teaching in complementary therapies, along with a Level 3 Certificate in Medical Terminology from City & Guilds/AMSPAR.
